Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 October 2026

Spreadle is a free daily trivia game run by an individual as a hobby project. This page explains what information the game handles and why.

If you just play

Your answers, scores and statistics are stored in your own browser and are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

The site counts page views using Vercel Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

If you post to the leaderboard

When you add your score to the leaderboard, we store:

Your display name and daily score are shown publicly on the leaderboard. The ranges you entered are visible only to you. Choose a display name you are comfortable with other players seeing.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional. If you do, Google shares your basic profile with us: your email address, name and profile picture. We use this only to recognise your account so your scores follow you across devices. We do not show your email address or Google name to other players, send you email, or access anything else in your Google account.

Who processes this information

We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Leaderboard entries and accounts are kept until you ask for them to be deleted or the game is shut down.

Your choices

You can play without posting to the leaderboard or signing in. To have your account, display name and scores deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email the support address shown on the Google sign-in screen for Spreadle.

Children

Spreadle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
